Opening Lecture of the V Colloquium of Energy Geopolitics of the NEEGI/UNILA with Mr. Alexander Kormishin (BRICS Youth Energy Agency). Since 2015, Alexander Kormishin has served as a founding Chairperson at the BRICS Youth Energy Agency. In 2015-2017, Alexander led the coordination team for increasing capacity of the BRICS youth energy cooperation. Alexander graduated with honors from the Institute for International Politics and Diplomacy at MGIMO-University and received a Master of Science Degree at MGIMO-University and the University of Leipzig in International Energy Economics and Business Administration. Alexander is a recognized young expert on the topics of the just energy transition, international energy cooperation, research and skills development, youth engagement in the energy sector across the BRICS countries. He has supervised major international youth-led initiatives, including at COP26 in Glasgow, UK and COP27 in Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt, and developed projects with key major international energy organizations, including the World Energy Council, the Clean Energy Ministerial, IRENA, SEforAll and others. Alexander represents the Agency at the Youth Energy Transition Commission and operates the global initiatives like the BRICS Youth Energy Summit and the BRICS Youth Energy Outlook.

BRICS Driving Ambition: How youth is changing the landscape of energy and climate geopolitics

The opening lecture of the III Coloquium of Energy Geopolitics ⚡ will take place on the 16th of December, at 11:45h (BRT). Our invited speaker Alexander Kormishin, is the Chairperson of the BRICS Youth Energy Agency, he holds a Bachelor degree with honours in Economics of the International Institute of Energy Policy and Diplomacy of the MGIMO-University (Russia) and two Master degrees of the MGIMO-Univeristy and the Univeristy of Leipzig (Germany) in the International Energy Economics and Business Administration. Currently, Mr Kormishin works for Rosatom Corporate Academy. He is also a Member of the Commission for International Humanitarian and Youth Cooperation the Russian Humanitarian Cooperation Agency and coordinator of Young Energy Professionals Russia and Member of the Project Team for FEL Congress 2022 of the 25th World Energy Congress. 

 In this conference, Mr. Kormishin will talk about how youth from the BRICS are game changers, innovators working jointly towards climate action and energy transition, showcasing successful cases and initiatives.

Curso : "Geopolítica da Energia" 

ISAPE promove curso de Geopolítica da Energia com o prof. Lucas Kerr de Oliveira, de 21 a 24 de janeiro, em Porto Alegre

O Instituto Sul-Americano de Política e Estratégia, ISAPE, promove nos dias 21 a 24 de janeiro de 2013 o curso "Geopolítica da Energia", que trata da geopolítica dos recursos energéticos que sustentam a economia global. Através de uma análise histórica, de uma apreciação do papel dos recursos na estratégia das grandes potências e de uma análise do atual perfil geográfico e tecnológico de recursos estratégicos, o curso provocará o aluno sobre a importância da problemática energética no nível internacional, abordando questões como a geopolítica do petróleo, as guerras por recursos energéticos, a transição energética e as fontes de energia mais limpas.

O curso será ministrado pelo Professor Dr. Lucas Kerr de Oliveira, no Clube de Cultura de Porto Alegre, as 18:30 às 22:00, nos dias 21, 22, 23 e 24 de janeiro de 2013.
